
Hi, I’m Katie 🙂
A little about me & the history of Buona Pasta… I got my cooking ability from my mom, who had me in the kitchen super young, thankfully! My love for pasta started with my Grandmom Tot, who taught me her homemade Ricotta Ravioli recipe, which I grew up making every Easter – this definitely fueled my love for pasta, and all noodles, really.
I studied abroad in Florence, Italy & was able to take Italian Cooking for one of my Italian language classes – This is where I fell in love with cooking! After college, I made the move to San Diego and continued to make homemade ravioli every Easter for family & friends.
I started making pasta regularly with my husband when I found that pasta was the way to his heart, lucky him! He was also the mastermind behind the Instagram, which we named after my parents’ pasta shop, the OG Buona Pasta. In 2020, I had the opportunity to take over 100 eggs that were to go to waste and officially launch my business, delivering fresh pasta around San Diego!
Over the years, I transitioned my business to teaching pasta making both in-person & online! You can now find my brand new pasta making cookbook wherever you buy books, or under the ‘cookbook’ tab of my website!
